The CASDA Athletic Directors’ Roundtable continues to be an opportunity for seasoned athletic administrators and new athletic administrators to share best practices, brainstorm, collaborate and prepare for anything that the world of interscholastic athletics can present to us. Guest speakers, experts in areas of interest are brought in to help empower athletic administrators to deal with the challenges they may face with the goal of best serving their students and district. Topics have included: coaching certification regulations; 14 legal duties of an athletic administrator; mental health initiatives; dealing with parent and spectator behavior; dealing with the entrenched coach; roles and responsibilities of the school nurse and medical director on the athletic program; impact of NIL on high school athletics; NCAA clearinghouse regulations and requirements for high school students; health and physical education updates and initiatives.

Bob is a Nationally Certified Athletic Administrator with over 40 years of experience in Health, Physical Education and Athletics. He was employed in the Saratoga Springs CSD where he taught Physical Education, coached and served as the District’s Director of Physical Education, Athletics and Health. Bob was the Assistant Director for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association for close to 9 years. He also has served on numerous National, State and Sectional Committees and is the Past President of the New York State Athletic Administrators Association and the Past President of the New York State Ferderation of Secondary Schools Athletic Association. Bob is currently an Adjunct Professor at Russell Sage College and a Supervisor of Health and Physical Education Student Teachers for SUNY Cortland.
