CASDA has grown from a small school study council to the third largest in the nation. While we have evolved over the years, we have remained true to our founding purpose of bringing educators together in order to improve school districts and provide a better education for the students it serves. Much of our work has been made possible thanks to a mutually beneficial long-term partnership with the University at Albany School of Education.

In 2019, CASDA moved its headquarters directly on to the UAlbany main campus and can now be found in the School of Education building in Catskill B27. This location change has made it even easier for CASDA faculty and staff to collaborate with School of Education professors in order to bring a broader, more diverse background to our collective work. CASDA and SOE have also begun working on a number of joint projects including seminars, podcasts and awards that will continue to solidify the partnership.
